Utility Pole Struck, Broken in Cromwell Car Accident
CROMWELL - Connecticut Light and Power personnel are repairing a broken broken utility pole on Main Street after a motor vehicle accident.

       At approximately 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, Cromwell Police responded to a single-car motor vehicle accident in front of 308 Main St. The operator received minor injuries, however the vehicle struck a utility pole, causing it to break and wires to be suspended over Main Street.

       â€"As a result of the hazard to vehicular and pedestrian traffic, the area of Main Street between West Street and South Street has been closed to traffic until Connecticut Light and Power personnel deem the area safe and makes the necessary repairs,” Cromwell Police said.

       Police personnel are asking travelers to use alternative routes around this area until the repairs are made.
