CROMWELL - Members and friends of St. John Women’s Group gathered Nov. 13 for two hours to make fleece �"tie blankets” and �"tie scarves.” For the blankets, two same-size pieces of fleece fabric are matched and a border all around the edges is cut into strips four inches long and about two inches wide. The cut ends are then tied together to complete the blanket. The blankets and scarves made by the women’s group at St. John Church will be distributed among various community organizations including Coventry House and ABC Women’s Shelter.
