Upcoming Film has Cromwell Connection
CROMWELL - Cromwell is hitting the big screen in a new action/thriller movie, thanks to one of its actor-producer residents.

Hollywood film producer Richard Switzer announced that the Switzer Entertainment Group began filming Blue Line Sunday, Jan. 25. Blue Line is about revenge--a master thief pulling off the heist of a lifetime with a jaded police detective hot on her trail. The film stars Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, Heat) Jordan Ladd (Never Been Kissed, Cabin Fever, Death Proof) and WWE professional wrestling legend Kevin Nash (The Punisher, The Longest Yard, Magic Mike).

Switzer packaged the film with L.A.-based executive producer and actor Thymes Lewis and producer Tyler Konney, the film’s sales agent, who will represent the project via Taylor & Dodge. They have partnered with Cromwell native and resident, movie producer and actor David Gere (Army of The Damned, A Bet’s A Bet, Sensory Perception). Blue Line will be directed by Greenwich resident Jacob Cooney.

Lewis, well known for his portrayal of Jonah Carver on the hit soap, Days of our Lives, but most recently hits like American Horror Story and Sons of Anarchy, will also co-star opposite Sizemore. They will be joined by Nikki Moore (Sorority Row, Babymakers and upcoming Occupy Texas), who plays Sizemore’s love-interest, Tom DeNucci (Self Storage, Bleed For This) and Lindsay Lamb (Natural Born Filmmakers).

Gere connected the dots between Hollywood and his hometown of Cromwell to bring filmmaking to the area. Cromwell mayor and Gere’s former Cromwell High School classmate, Enzo Faienza, stated, â€"I’m so proud of Dave and his desire to go to Hollywood and make his dream come true to bring movie making to our town. It’s a testament to our youth that if you work hard and strive for your goals anything is possible. These are exciting times for Cromwell, as Dave is including so many members of our community in the process of making this film. It has been a collaborative effort and a pleasure working with Dave, Thyme, Richard and Jacob. They are true professionals who care about the integrity of the town and making the film work here. I can’t wait to see the final product when it is completed.”

Switzer, a former resident of Groton, was profiled on Entertainment Tonight for being the youngest movie producer in history. The Switzer Entertainment Group has focused on engaging local officials and small business including involvement from the Cromwell Chief of Police Anthony Salvatore, Cromwell Fire Chief Stephen Pendel, Cromwell High School, â€"Wild Bill’s” Nostalgia, The Cromwell Diner, Willowbrook Package Store and more. The production company estimates that they are working with approximately 200 Cromwell/Middletown crew, extras and community members during the course of the production.

The film includes professional stunts and car chase scenes, which will be filmed near Golf Club Road in Cromwell.

â€"It’s exciting to have Hollywood level car chase scenes and fight choreography performed by stunt legends Gary Hymes, Tom McComas and directed by Eric Norris (son of Chuck Norris) who recently finished the final scenes of the Sons of Anarchy series in a local town setting,” said Lewis.

Blue Line was co-written and will be directed by Jacob Cooney, a Greenwich resident who recently left Hollywood to bring his writing and directing talents to Connecticut. Blue Line can be found on at IMDb and on Facebook. Visit Switzer Entertainment Group at www.switzerent.com and Taylor and Dodge at www.switzerent.com for more information.
