Holy Trinity Ecumenial Service for Shut-ins
MIDDLETOWN - For the past 20 years, The Church of the Holy Trinity has conducted a special service (missing only three years) for area convalescent home residents and shut-ins. This year’s service will be Thursday, May 21, from 10:30 a.m. To 1:30 p.m. at the church, 381 Main St., Middletown.

The annual event, sponsored by the Episcopal Church Women (ECW), includes a Eucharist, laying on of hands, special music and a luncheon. The music will be provided by Mike Fazio on the organ and the Old Thyme Fiddlers Club from Bristol. Members of Trinity Church in Portland are invited to join with folks from Middletown, Portland and Cromwell. Please come and enjoy the festivities and fun atmosphere. Many older folks come to re-connect with long lost friends.Transportation is provided and paid for by the church.

The ECW hopes to have 50 to 60 guests for this service. All care facilities were contacted in February to start preparation for this event. Members of the church look forward to having a full house.

If you are interested in attending, please call the church at 860-347-2591 so that they can have a count for the luncheon.
