CROMWELL - Cromwell Scouts, town officials, veterans, residents and town emergency personnel participated in a Flag Day Ceremony held Monday at the Coles Road Fire House, sponsored by the American Legion Carlson-Sjovall Post No. 105 and the Cromwell Fire Department. The ceremony was held in commemoration of the adoption of the first flag of the United States, June 14, 1777. American Legion Post 105 Commander Lou Gagnon led the Ceremony.
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Connecticut River Council assisted with the ceremony while members of the Cromwell Fire Department oversaw the retirement of flags.
