WETHERSFIELD - Debbie Shain’s flair for fashion and affinity for supporting local and domestic collide with the unique selection at Gotta Have It! Boutique.

The boutique, located above Blades Salon in picturesque Old Wethersfield, sprouted in April, however Shain has been retailing her trendy finds for longer. After selling hair care products for many years, she transitioned her talent using her eye for accessories and index of salon clients.

Now a physical boutique allows for easier browsing. And customers browse

â€"It’s easy access to come get a gift,” she said.

Shain regularly attends New York City accessory shows to build her collection of artisan jewelry, handbags, apparel, accessories and more. She sells American-made products and enjoys getting to know and building relationships with the artisans who create them. There’s nothing â€"generic” at Gotta Have It!

The pieces at Gotta Have It! are affordable and there’s even a â€"$10 and under” table set up.

Shain strives to incorporate recycled and eco-friendly products in her inventory as well as socially responsible companies. She carries a line of Blue Planet recycled eyewear, for example, that donated a pair of glasses for each purchased.

Gotta Have It! also carries Stormy Mountain Soy Candles, that are made locally in Meriden.
