Tish Donlon of Cromwell recently placed second all-around at national gymnastics competition held in Florida.
Cromwell Gymnast Places 2nd in National Competition
CROMWELL - Tisha Donlon, 14, of Cromwell, recently took second place all-around with a score of 37.075 at the USAG Level 9 Gymnastics Nationals in Kissimmee, Fla.

       Donlon was the top finisher in the Junior 7 age division for the Region 6 Team. She also took home silver on bars with a 9.30. Her vault placed fifth with a 9.35 and she came in eighth on beam with a 9.225 and floor with a 9.20. Donlon trains at American Gymnastics Training Center in Plainville under Kristen Haakerud, Katie Atkins and James Russo. She works hard to balance her schooling at CREC Medical Professions and Teachers Academy in New Britain with her 22 hours per week gymnastics training schedule. Donlon hopes to compete as a Level 10 in the upcoming season and earn a Division 1 athletic scholarship.
