Republicans Endorse Slade for Cromwell Council
CROMWELL - Samantha Slade was unanimously endorsed by the Cromwell Republicans for Town Council in the November municipal elections.

â€"I am excited and honored to be nominated to serve as a town councilor. I love this town and want to work with Mayor Faienza and the other members of Town Council to maintain and build upon our excellent schools and services, while ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency. I am eager to begin this journey and work diligently for the citizens of Cromwell,” said Slade.

Slade is actively engaged in the community and hopes that in this new role she can make a positive, lasting impact on the town she loves. She has been a member of the Cromwell Republican Town Committee since 2010 and currently serves as its secretary. She is also the vice-chairman of Cromwell Zoning Board of Appeals and is an active member of the Cromwell Fire Department, serving on both since 2010. Slade and her husband, Kenneth, made Cromwell their home six years ago and share their home with their dog, Seamus.

Giving back to the community and making a difference in the lives of others is something that Slade not only takes part in voluntarily, but also professionally. She is the Development Manager at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford, where she raises funds and awareness for over 5,000 of Hartford’s most in-need children and teens. Slade has also served our country as a member of the United States Army Reserve since 2012. She holds a Master of Arts degree in communication from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Saint Joseph College (now University of Saint Joseph).

The Cromwell Republicans also nominated Enzo Faienza for re-election as mayor and three other residents for town council: current councilors Richard Newton and Frank Emanuele, Jr., and newcomer Edward Wenners.
