Police Search for Gas Station Robber
WETHERSFIELD - A local gas station robbery is currently under investigation.

       The incident occurred early last Tuesday morning at the Valero gas station at 1785 Berlin Turnpike in Wethersfield, where a suspect robbed the cash register of an undetermined amount of money. Police responded to the call at 5:58 a.m., according to a press release put out by the Wethersfield Police Department on the same day.

       An employee said that it happened as he was trying to open the station’s convenience store. The suspect-described as a white or Hispanic male wearing a gray zip-up hoodie and blue jeans-reportedly entered the store, exited, and then returned to demand the money. The suspect is pictured, right.

       The suspect reportedly told the employee that an accomplice was waiting in their vehicle-described by the employee as a gray four-door-with a firearm.

       The clerk was not injured in the incident, police said.
