WETHERSFIELD - Since 1932, D & D Market has been a staple grocer in the Hartford area and the family-owned and operated shop is soon observing the one-year anniversary of its second shop in Wethersfield.

       D & D carries fresh produce, an expansive deli and butcher shop, specialty items, frozen foods, prepared foods and shelves stocked with hundreds of grocery items. The Wethersfield store, conveniently situated in central Wethersfield in the former Bliss Market location on Wolcott Hill Road, will celebrate its first anniversary Feb. 6. However the original D & D Market was opened by Vito D’Aprile on Windsor Street in Hartford in 1932. The D’Aprile family still runs the markets today.

       D & D Market boasts a substantial selection of prepared and catered foods including appetizers, deli platters, pastas, salads, side dishes, grinders, breads, meat dishes, desserts and pastries.
