CROMWELL - A Cromwell was arrested last Wednesday, May 22, on voyeurism charges stemming from a complaint regarding an intimate video which he had posted on the Internet.

       Police arrested Edward Taupier, 48, of 6 Douglas Dr., without incident at his residence at approximately 8:45 a.m. Taupier is charged with voyeurism and disseminating voyeuristic material.

       The Cromwell Police Deparmtent is also executing a search and seizure warrant of Taupier’s home for computer files, images and video files related to the charges, police said. Police are continuing the investigation and will submit the seized evidence to the state Forensic Laboratory for analysis and recovery, police said.

       Taupier was released on a $25,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 11 in Middletown.
